Diy Cottagecore Milkmaid top easy to sew with pattern

If you're a fan of the cottagecore aesthetic, you'll love this milkmaid top! It's a beautiful and comfortable top that's perfect for beginners to sew. I made mine from thrifted fabric, but you can use any lightweight, flowy fabric that you have on hand. Here's how to sew your own milkmaid top.

Step 1: Make the pattern To make the pattern, you'll need to take your own measurements and figure out how much fabric you'll need. You can easily make a pattern by using a basic top that fits you well and adjusting it to create a milkmaid top. To do this, simply add more width to the top and sleeves and create a ruffle on the neckline.

Step 2: Cut the fabric Once you have your pattern, it's time to cut your fabric. Be sure to cut out all of the necessary pieces, including the front and back of the top, as well as the sleeves.

Step 3: Sew the top Start by sewing the shoulder seams together, then attach the sleeves to the top. Next, sew the side seams together. Finally, create the ruffle for the neckline by gathering the fabric and sewing it to the top.

Step 4: Finishing touches To finish off the top, you can add elastic to the sleeves and neckline to create a more fitted look. You can also add decorative buttons or ribbon to the front of the top.
